Starrgazzee ArtistryAbout me
I grew with my art.
Painting gave me a way to sit with myself. To process, feel, heal, and grow. The pieces I have made over the years hold parts of that story.
How I got here
San Antonio, TexasIt started because it was fun.
When you get to the older pieces in my Originals collection, you are seeing me play. I was trying things, enjoying color, and taking my time with what I made. Those paintings are part of how I learned what I liked and began to recognize my own style.
Over the years, painting also became a way to be with myself and work through what I was feeling. It gave me time to process my life, to feel things, and to heal and grow at my own pace. There is room in that story for the pieces I made simply because creating felt good.
As I came to understand my style and my aesthetic, I became more and more of my own muse. My modeling images, my body, my emotions, and the way I connect with someone I love began taking up more space in the work. Trust, devotion, desire, and surrender are personal to me. So is the choice to let myself be seen.

“Our emotions are shadows of ourselves.”
The story in the pieces
Parts of my life live here.
I painted the phoenix in Room to Rise directly on my bedroom wall after my divorce. It belongs to that part of my life. When I talk about painting as a way to sit with myself and grow, this is one of the pieces I come back to.
Morning Paradise Shadow began with three streets I passed on my drive home: Morning Valley, Paradise Valley, and Shadow Valley. They were how I knew where to turn. That familiar part of my day became three paintings. Something as ordinary as finding my way home could become something I wanted to make.
In Silent Love, I wanted to show how domestic violence can exist inside a relationship that looks beautiful from the outside. The beauty is part of the story. It asks you to look more closely at what an appearance can hide.
Shadows comes from my belief that our emotions are shadows of ourselves, and not everyone is willing to see that side. I give those feelings a face. In Adoration, it is the lover reflected in the glasses that matters to me. Red is a color I love; the connection tells you more about the feeling. I want you to spend time with those details and notice what they bring up in you.
